TDC Design KG creates the designs, specifies the processes and runs the chain from sourcing through printing and finishing to making-up – for our own projects and for projects across the industry. Based in Germany since 1990.

Four areas – each available on its own, and together covering the whole chain from sourcing to making-up.

Design and artwork
We develop designs and prepare artwork so that it can actually be produced. We also adapt existing designs to the fabric and the process.

Processes and technology
Digital printing and rotary screen printing, reactive, disperse and discharge printing, dyeing. We match the process to the fabric, set the parameters and carry it through to finished cloth.

Process management and value chain
Sourcing, printing, finishing, making-up – the whole chain. We define the sequence, the interfaces and the checkpoints, and we deliver the made-up goods.

Network
Connections to mills, plants and suppliers in Germany and abroad, built up over decades and reaching into every part of the industry. Our choice of fabric and process draws on them.
How we work
From sourcing to made-up goods
Six stages that cover the whole chain. Not every project needs all of them – the route through the chain stays the same.

Clarify
What the project is about, which fabric, which process, what scale.

Design
Design and colourways – either developed by us or brought to us by you and made ready for production.

Specify fabric and process
Base fabric, fibre and fabric weight are matched to the printing or dyeing process. This stage determines what will be possible later on.

Sampling
Strike-offs and colour matching until sign-off.

Source and produce
The base fabric is sourced; printing or dyeing follows the approved process and is matched against the approved sample.

Finish and make up
Finishing and making-up. The end result: the made-up goods.
Origins
Since 1990
TDC Design KG was founded in 1990. Our work is built on textile engineering knowledge, on experience with workflows, and on a network that reaches into every part of the industry. We work on projects across the industry – and on our own: we develop and run textile brands of our own.
